Next week (19th – 20th March) we’ll be heading up to Edinburgh for the European Chatbot and Conversational AI Summit and we can’t wait!
The European Chatbot & Conversational AI Summit is a conference and exhibition for industry executives and adopters of Conversational AI, Generative AI, Chatbots, Virtual Assistants, voice technology, and Conversation Design, so it’s right up our street! We hope to hear more about the latest trends and recent application changes in the Conversational AI space within the European market.
“In previous years it’s been an excellent mix of researchers, academics, real world implementors and some big picture discussions that cut through the hype. Really looking forward to it.”
Alice Kerly
Will you be attending the European Chatbot and Conversational AI Summit? Let’s chat!
As Conversational AI practitioners we’re always keen to hear about how projects are going, innovative new ideas, and any interesting challenges you might be facing.
We have exciting new products and services to share too.
Conversational AI Health Check
If you’re not sure where to start, or what to do next to get the best value from your conversational AI solution, you might be interested in our CAI Health Check. This is a fixed price project with a set of deliverables that will give you immediate insight into areas of improvement.
The CAI Health Check will enable you to really understand how your conversational bot or virtual assistant is performing (without having to read through thousands of transcripts). You’ll get an insight into any areas that are falling short of expectations and effectively prioritise enhancements, such as finding out where you can deploy LLM (large language model) features.
Chatpulse
If you are after analytics for your bot, virtual assistant or CAI offering that go beyond the usual stats and KPIs, Chatpulse.ai gets to the heart of your conversational data with quantitative AND qualitative bot analysis in one tool, for you to
- identify and quantify insights that you can act on,
- unlock trends,
- evaluate performance,
- monitor change,
- review any individual conversation from your whole dataset,
- prioritise development,
- and measure the impact of your changes.

Dr Alice Kerly, Co-Founder & Principal Consultant
Alice is an experienced consultant, mentor and trainer, who has spent the last 20 years quietly getting on with shaping, influencing and supporting the conversational AI sector. She’s equally comfortable in consulting, research & development and technical implementation roles, and delights in the diverse challenge of combining cutting edge technologies with human language and psychology.
She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence in Education (using a chatbot in intelligent tutoring systems), and has published papers on use of conversational agents in education – exploring AI in this context long before most of the world.
Leading the architecture and development of Conversational AI solutions, Alice has worked with organisations in areas that include IT, virtual agents and customer service, to enable them to communicate with their clients across multiple channels (Facebook Messenger, intelligent IVR, mobile apps, web assistants and more).
Alice’s passion for using CAI to do the right thing also means she has spent many hours advising pro bono for social causes, helping others develop conversational AI strategies in education, health and wellbeing. She advises physicians at the cutting edge of technology at a leading London university, using CAI to make great strides in combating mental illness.
When not busy with all this, you’ll likely find her up a mountain, in a sea kayak, or perhaps cosied up by the fire with a good book!

Zane Indane, Conversational AI Consultant
If you’re looking for someone who has found a role that perfectly matches their skills, interests and passions, meet Zane Indāne!
When asked about her interests the enthusiastic response was…
“Everything CAI! I’m excited about human-machine interactions, I care about UX and find problem-solving fun, and particularly enjoy understanding how everything fits together for complex architectures.”
Zane graduated from University of Edinburgh in Linguistics and maintains an interest in linguistics topics – metaphor theory, how people make sense of the world, conceptualise it, and the relationship between reality and language.
In her role as Conversational AI Consultant here at The CAI Company, Zane provides Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, design and build expertise to world-leading companies; she deploys Conversational AI projects across multiple channels such as webchat, voice, IVR, mobile apps and smart devices.
And when she’s not at work you may well find Zane in search of a good bakery: “I have a real weakness for pastries.” She also values community, a good local pub, the sound of a full orchestra and from time to time a sci-fi binge watch.
