Big Data LDN 2025… or AI LDN?

Last month our CEO, Darren Ford, headed to Big Data LDN 2025. Big Data LDN is the UK’s leading data, analytics & AI event. The event provides the data community with the opportunity to discuss their business requirements with leading technology vendors and hear from expert speakers in the conference programme. He had a great time, and here shares a few takeaways from the big event.

 

AI is everywhere

Big Data LDN 2025 really is a fantastic gathering of vendors and practitioners pushing the limits of data analytics. One thing stood out immediately: AI is everywhere. Every strap-line, every product pitch was framed around AI, Agentic AI, or AI Agents.

 

What’s the difference?

But here’s the challenge: with everyone saying the same thing, it was really hard to spot the true differentiators. Most platforms were using AI to aggregate, connect, and visualise data, some even with “copilot-style” interfaces. Very impressive! But when every stand looks and sounds pretty similar, it must be tough for customers to decide which solution genuinely fits their needs.

Solutions that go beyond organising data?

What struck me most was what wasn’t there: products that go beyond organising data, and instead help understand the meaning behind it, or that support the deployment of AI solutions, chatbots, and Agentic AI in practice. That gap made me realise just how important it is to keep building tools that don’t just surface data, but make sense of it. It reinforces why we built Chatpulse, to move beyond dashboards and help organisations really understand their conversational data.
