Security – cyber and otherwise – is of paramount importance to us at The CAI Company. Indeed, services we provide include governance as part of an effective strategy and GDPR & security within solution architecture.
With this in mind, we’re pleased to share that we recently obtained the “Cyber Essentials Certificate of Assurance”. We’re keen to properly demonstrate our adherence to robust IT security protocols, not just talk about them!
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the UK’s technical authority for cyber security – its mission is to make the UK the safest place to live and work online; the certification is from IASME, the NCSC’s Official Cyber Essentials partner. IASME works with a network of more than 300 cyber security organisations across the UK and Crown Dependencies to advise and certify organisations of all sizes.
Cyber Essentials Certificate of Assurance
A Cyber Essentials certification demonstrates that an organisation implements the most important cyber security controls to protect itself. A team of experts reviews the scheme at regular intervals to ensure it stays effective in the ever-evolving threat landscape. The scheme is aligned to five technical controls designed to prevent the most common internet-based cyber security threats:
- user access control,
- secure configuration,
- security update management,
- firewalls and routers,
- and malware protection.
Happily we didn’t need to make too many changes to our current set up to comply with the controls: we just had to get a new phone for one team member (who as you can imagine was pretty happy about it!).
